Step 1 | Professional Instagram account

You need to have a professional account on Instagram. To switch your Instagram user to professional account just go to your profile section and then Settings > Account > Switch to Professional account.

Step 2 | Connect to Facebook

Now, connect your Instagram account to your Facebook account. Go to Settings > Account > Linked accounts and connect it.

Step 3 | Log into Spark AR Hub

There you go! It’s time to access our filters management console.

Go to https://sparkar.facebook.com, log in and go to Manage Effects.

Step 4 | Name and upload your filter

Here you are in the filters management console. Go to Publish an Effect.

Name your filter and upload the .arexport file. Then select Instagram as the platform to publish your filter.

Step 5 | Select Account, Categories and Keywords

Select your Facebook account (Owner) and your Profesional Instagram account where you want your filter to be published.

Then select Categories that your filter represents and choose Keywords to make easier to the users to find your filter.

Step 6 | Save your filter to record a demo

To publish your filter, you need to have a demo video to show your users how to use and how is your filter.

Save your state going to Save in the top right of your screen.

Once the filter is saved, you can click on Test on Device to record a demo. A notification will appear on your screen. Go to Instagram and try your new filter!

Record as many videos as you want and save the good one. Send that video to your PC and go to Demo video > Step 2 (Step 1 was recording) > Upload file and upload the video you have previously recorded.

Remember to choose a video thumbnail after the demo video is loaded.

Step 7 | Icon

Load the image that will appear as your filter icon.

Step 8 | Publication date and instructions

Select date and time that your filter will be public.

Then give instructions for the reviewer to understand better what is the meaning of your filter and how it works.

Step 9 | Approval process

This process typically takes 1 or 2 days, depending on the filter characteristics, categories, etc. You might have some problems with policies that you can resolve later. Don’t worry if your filter is not approved in the first attempt.

Then, you can enjoy your filter and share it to your friends!
